Craig Street Creamery is a locally owned ice cream and gelato shop in the heart of beautiful Parksville. We serve premium ice cream, handcrafted gelato, frozen treats, and friendly service in a fun, welcoming, and family-oriented environment.
We're looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Shift Supervisor to help lead our team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work alongside your team, serve customers, and help ensure the shop runs smoothly every day. What You'll Do
As a Shift Supervisor, you will:
- Lead, coach, and support the team during each shift.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
- Open and close the store.
- Operate the POS system and handle cash accurately.
- Prepare and serve premium ice cream, gelato, and frozen treats.
- Help train and mentor new team members.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Help create a fun, friendly, and welcoming experience for every customer.
What We're Looking For
A valid Food Safe Certificate is required for this position.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous food service, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience.
- Have previous leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
- Be friendly, dependable, and enjoy working with people.
- Stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Lead by example and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
Physical Requirements
This is an active role. Applicants should be comfortable:
- Standing and walking for the majority of their shift.
- Repeatedly scooping ice cream.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Availability
Applicants must be available to work 30–40 hours per week, including:
- Weekdays
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Holidays, when required
Weekend availability is required.
