Position Summary

Senior Embryologist functions as an advanced independent practitioner with expanded technical expertise and informal leadership responsibilities.
Reporting Structure

Reports to: Laboratory Supervisor.

Works independently.
Role Specific Scope

Full proficiency in advanced embryology procedures.

Conducts equipment calibration and validation activities.
-
Initiates and validates new laboratory methodologies when requested.

Provides structured training to embryologists and trainees.

Serves as senior technical resource during complex cases.

Participates in troubleshooting laboratory system failures.

Provides senior technical oversight during critical laboratory situations.

Acts as primary trainer and mentor for junior and intermediate embryologists.

Serves as technical authority during audits and inspections (as delegated).
Experience Requirements
-
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred).
-
CFAS certification as embryologist.
-
Significant experience as an Embryologist.
-
Demonstrated leadership ability and exemplary performance record.
