Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pre-cast Finisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing precast concrete elements to meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires a strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a fast-paced construction and manufacturing environment. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment operation, machining, welding, and assembly within a dynamic team setting.
Duties
- Finish precast concrete components using hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to achieve desired surface quality and specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery safely to move materials and finished products within the warehouse or production area.
- Perform assembly tasks, including fitting and aligning precast elements according to project requirements.
- Conduct welding and other fabrication processes as needed to ensure structural integrity of precast components.
- Use hand tools and power tools for grinding, polishing, and detailing surfaces of precast elements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklift or other heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machining tools, welding equipment, and hand/power tools effectively.
- Experience with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of assembly processes related to construction or manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication methods for precast concrete finishing.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, construction sites, and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications for precise finishing work.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
