Join our Hotel Operations team as our Front Desk Supervisor for Lizard Creek Lodge. This is a front desk, guest facing position where you will ensure the first line of contact with our guests is running smoothly. If you enjoy supervising a team, ensuring our world class guests have the best experience possible, and have a strong passion for mountain culture, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- monitor weekly payroll and send weekly payroll update to manager for review, discussion and action
- review the schedule and ensure staff adhere to it. Inform and discuss with manager as needed any changes, lateness, missed shifts
- responsible for training new front desk & night audit staff
- be the point person for receiving guest complaints and feedback, and dealing difficult guests. Escalate to the manager as needed
- complete hotel reservations, maintain current bookings and enforce cancellation policies
- perform start and end of day procedures
- be trained in, know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
- complete other fair and reasonable tasks as requested by management to ensure the smooth operation of the hotels
Qualifications:
- Physically fit and able to perform somewhat demanding work
- Comfortable working at a desk for multiple hours at a time
- Experience working in hotels and hospitality is an asset (training provided)
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety and following procedures
