Permanent Child Care Supply Staff– Job Posting
Lambton Kingsway Before & After School Program is currently recruiting Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE), Early Childhood Assistants, Early Childhood Education students or Program Assistance for the opportunity to work as a permanent supply staff.
The candidate would be notified on short notice of supply work for the afternoons (2:30pm-6:00pm) working with kindergarten and school age children and prearranged coverage for morning shifts (7:30am-9:00am) with the possibility for longer periods of coverage to cover staff vacations. The program is located in a progressive Junior Middle School in the Royal York & Dundas area.

§ Our ideal candidate will be able to create and maintain a safe, positive and enriching environment for the children.
§ Must have knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act.
§ We are looking for candidates who have experience programming following the ELECT Curriculum and capable of implementing a developmentally appropriate program.
§ The successful candidate will be reliable, self-motivated and be a team player. Able to work with and maintain a relationship with other co-workers, children, families, students and other educators.
§ Able to work with short notice.
What you will bring…
§ Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
§ Experience working in a childcare centre and working within a team.
§ Awareness of allergies and health and safety practices in licensed childcare centres.
§ Dependable and flexible to the needs of the children, educators and the program overall.
§ Problem Solving, Multi-tasking and Time Management skills.
§ Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening.
§ Current Standard First Aid (Level C) certification.
§ Clear health check including complete series of COVID-19 Vaccinations
§ Before & After School Program specific experience considered an asset.
