Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Construction Managers from Mexico, Colombia Peru to work in Canada under free trade agreements. Duties include overseeing and coordinating construction projects. The Construction Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.
Duties
- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Review and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide project execution.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and Civil 3D for planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to design specifications.
- Prepare and review construction estimates using estimating tools; manage change orders and project documentation.
- Oversee the use of construction management software like Bluebeam for document control and communication.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies; promote a culture of safety on-site.
- Manage project schedules effectively through time management skills; adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Provide leadership in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in civil or commercial projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and tools.
- Familiarity with project management principles specific to large-scale construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lead diverse teams while maintaining high standards of safety and quality assurance.
- Prior experience managing multiple projects across different locations is preferred but not mandatory.
