Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Care Worker to join our landscaping team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various lawn and garden care activities. Duties
- Mow and edge lawns using hand tools, power tools and equipment to ensure well-manicured landscapes
- Perform planting, pruning, fertilizing, and watering to promote healthy growth of plants and shrubs
- Use hand tools and power tools for landscape installation, repair, and general maintenance tasks
- Assist with soil preparation, aeration, and topdressing to improve lawn health
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Experience with landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, and blowers is preferred
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and garden management techniques
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining power tools and machinery
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including planting, pruning, and fertilization
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and spades
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Good teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
