Building Bridges Counselling Services
Bowness, Calgary, AB
Independent Contractor
Full-Time Opportunity
Join a Team That Supports You So You Can Focus on Your Clients
Imagine being able to focus on providing exceptional client care while an experienced administrative team supports referrals, scheduling, billing, marketing, and client inquiries behind the scenes.
At Building Bridges Counselling Services, we've intentionally created a practice where clinicians can spend more time doing what they became therapists to do, helping people, without carrying the full weight of running a private practice alone.
For over 11 years, Building Bridges has provided compassionate, ethical, trauma-informed counselling services to children, youth, adults, couples, and families throughout Calgary and the surrounding communities. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a compassionate, skilled, and values-driven clinician to join our collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Our clients choose Building Bridges because they feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. We're looking for someone who shares that same commitment to building meaningful therapeutic relationships while providing high-quality, evidence-informed care.
If you're looking for more than simply renting office space, if you're looking for a practice that truly supports you while allowing you to focus on your clients, we'd love to hear from you.
What Makes Building Bridges Different?
We know most clinicians entered this profession because they wanted to help people, not because they wanted to manage marketing, scheduling, billing, or administrative tasks.
That's why we've intentionally built a practice where our dedicated Practice & Client Experience Team supports many of the day-to-day responsibilities that come with private practice.
Our team supports you with:
- Consistent referrals and active caseload development
- Our Coffee & Chat consultation program, where prospective clients are thoughtfully matched with the clinician who best fits their needs
- Responding to new client inquiries
- Scheduling appointments
- Billing and payment processing
- Client communications
- Administrative support
- Marketing and community outreach
- Website profile and online presence
- Referral coordination
While you'll maintain responsibility for your clinical documentation and professional practice, you won't be expected to manage the day-to-day business responsibilities of private practice on your own.
When you join Building Bridges, you're joining a team, not simply renting an office.
What We Offer
As part of our team, you'll receive:
- Highly competitive commission-based compensation
- Consistent referrals and active support building your caseload
- Opportunity to transition an established caseload where clinically appropriate and with client consent
- Beautiful, fully furnished counselling offices
- Comfortable, welcoming therapy spaces for both clinicians and clients
- Jane practice management software
- Professional profile on our website
- Ongoing marketing support
- Billing and administrative support
- Free on-site parking
- Internal referrals and cross-referrals
- Monthly team meetings and clinical consultation
- Clinical autonomy within a collaborative and supportive environment
- A workplace culture built on kindness, integrity, respect, and teamwork
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a full-time independent contractor to join our multidisciplinary team.
Due to an upcoming clinician transition, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to assume care for an established caseload, where clinically appropriate and with client consent. Combined with our consistent referral process and active caseload development, this offers an excellent opportunity to build a thriving and sustainable practice from day one.
This opportunity is ideal for a clinician looking to build or continue a full-time private practice with the support of an established, collaborative team.
While this posting is for a full-time opportunity, Building Bridges continues to grow, and we are always interested in connecting with exceptional clinicians who align with our values.
Our clinicians work with a variety of populations, including:

- Youth
- Adults
- Couples
- Families
