Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest service, a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail. This role involves taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience and maintaining a clean restaurant. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems like Shift4. The Server will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system such Shift4
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising quality of service
- Address guest inquiries promptly and resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
