LEC Custom Products Inc. is a premier contract manufacturer of health and beauty care products.
The Production Line Lead is responsible for leading the second shift production. The hours of work for the role are 3:30pm-12:00am.
Responsibilities
Staff Supervision
- Assist Supervisor in training of new line staff
- Assist in coaching of staff as per direction of Supervisor
- Make discipline recommendations to Supervisor when warranted
- Ensure that staff tasks are being completed in an accurate and timely manner
Target Awareness
- Assist Supervisor in communicating targets to staff
- Help staff understand their role in targets and assist Supervisor in helping staff take ownership of both quality and quantity targets
- Watch for issues in production and communicate them to Supervisor
Changeover Implementation
- Ensure that staff understand changeover tasks and ensure that those tasks are being completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Responsible for rail and coder changeover
- Manage documentation of changeover time and component quantities
Quality supervision
- Assist Supervisor and QA in monitoring product to meet quality standards
- Assist in monitoring of label placement, fill level and cleanliness of product
Production documentation
- Complete data on Production Sheet and Pallet Log
Other tasks
- Assist in start-up and shutdown of equipment at start and end of day
Safety
- Work with Line Supervisor and staff to ensure a safe working environment while also ensuring that production expectations are being met
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
