Care Design For You is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide high-quality, person-centered care to clients in their homes and community settings. The successful candidate will support clients with activities of daily living while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
* Support clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning
* Prepare and assist with meals and light housekeeping duties
* Provide companionship and emotional support
* Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and community outings when required
* Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or mental condition
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
* Follow individualized care plans and company policies
* Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications
* Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent training preferred
* Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Compassionate, patient, and dependable
* Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset
* Clear vulnerable sector check or willingness to obtain one
