Position type: 4 days/week, Permanent
Compensation: $25.25/hour

Job Summary:
The Donor Stewardship Coordinator works closely with the Manager of Development and Communications to strengthen donor relationships, stewardship systems, and donor engagement at Mission Possible. This position plays a key role in ensuring donors experience meaningful, consistent, and personalized connection to Mission Possible’s work and impact.
Working Conditions:
The Donor Stewardship Coordinator will report to the Manager of Development and Communications and will work closely with other members of the Development Team and other Mission Possible staff. They will regularly interact with donors, community partners, volunteers, and program participants. Most work will take place in Mission Possible’s office at 648 East Hastings, with some flexibility for hybrid work. Some rare off-site work may occur, including donor meetings, tours, and fundraising event activities.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Donor Relationships & Stewardship
Coordinate donor acknowledgment and stewardship activities including thank-you calls, handwritten notes, donor correspondence, follow-up communications, and donor recognition activities.
Support stewardship and engagement activities for first-time, monthly, mid-level, corporate, foundation, and other donor groups across giving levels, including Mission Possible’s Impact Sponsor program.
Respond to donor inquiries and correspondence by phone, email, and mail
Identify opportunities for deeper donor engagement and communicate them to development leadership as appropriate
Support in-person stewardship follow-up, tours, events, impact updates, donor visit, the Mission Possible annual gala, and other engagement opportunities
Donor Experience Systems & Coordination
Maintain stewardship timelines, donor touchpoint tracking, donor engagement documentation, workflows, schedules, follow-up systems, and stewardship-related reporting within the CRM
Coordinate with the Development Operations Coordinator regarding associate stories, updates, and stewardship materials
Administrative Support
Support the Development Team with stewardship-related administrative and coordination tasks as needed
Support volunteers, practicum students, and other assistants in their roles, including answering questions, delegating tasks, mentoring, and assisting with tasks as needed
Other tasks as requested by the Manager of Development and Communications

Our ideal Donor Stewardship Coordinator has:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong organization and time management skills
Attention to detail and ability to consistently follow through on tasks and timelines
Ability to communicate warmly and professionally with donors and community members, by phone, email, handwritten note, and in person
Comfort managing multiple projects, schedules, and donor interactions simultaneously
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
Strong emotional intelligence, professionalism, and discretion
Comfort working with donor databases and CRM systems
Experience with CRM platforms such as Raiser’s Edge and/or Keela is an asset
Proven ability to demonstrate professionalism, respectful workplace conduct, and alignment with Mission Possible’s core values: Compassion, Humility, Empowerment, Support, and Tenacity
Education and Experience
Diploma, certificate, or post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g. fundraising, communications, nonprofit management, hospitality, administration, or customer relations) is an asset
Experience working in fundraising, donor relations, customer service, hospitality, administration, or relationship-based roles is an asset
Experience working in the nonprofit sector is an asset
Experience working in the Downtown Eastside community is an asset
Class 5 Driver’s License is an asset
Or the equivalent combination of related skills and experience.
