ASCO Aerospace Canada is a division of Montana Aerospace, with our facility located in Delta, BC. We are looking for a IT system Specialist to join our team at the Canadian operations.
Position Summary
The IT Systems Specialist is responsible for maintaining the reliability, performance, and availability of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role provides hands-on support across software, hardware, network, and unified communication systems for approximately 65 users and manufacturing workstations.
The position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, resolving technical issues within SLA, and contributing to continuous improvement of IT systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, support, and administer enterprise software and systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime
- Respond to help desk tickets; troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network issues within SLA
- Deploy software packages using Microsoft System Center and manage backup administration
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware including workstations, servers, and data center equipment
- Perform network administration tasks (LAN, WAN, VPN), including patching, troubleshooting, and connectivity support
- Execute root cause analysis for recurring system or network issues and implement preventive measures
- Maintain accurate asset management records, system documentation, and IT inventories
- Support office moves and IT equipment setup/reconfiguration
- Participate in and support IT infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer across IT systems and tools
- Support unified communication systems including telephony, video conferencing, email, and collaboration tools
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT systems support or infrastructure roles
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure projects is an asset
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- LAN, WAN, VPN environments
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP
- Active Directory and Windows Server (legacy & modern environments)
- Experience with:
- Microsoft System Center
- VMware ESXi / vCenter
- PowerShell scripting
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ITAR, CCG) is an asset

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
