Location: Edmonton and Surrounding Areas (Sherwood Park, St. Albert, & Spruce Grove)
Role: Provide home care support to individuals with personal support care and companionship in their home.
Schedule: Depends on staff availability and can include weekdays, evenings, nights, weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assisting with personal care including: showering, toileting, dressing, medications
· Companionship: Engaging your client in activities inside and outside of the house
· Skillfully engage with clients with cognitive impairments including dementia and alzheimer's
· Running Errands
· Preparing healthy meals
· Driving and accompanying to appointments and outings
· Light housekeeping
· Consistent and professional documentation and communication with management
· Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
REQUIREMENTS
· Health Care Aide Certification
· Registered on the Alberta HCA Directory
· Dementia care training and experience
· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
· Reliable Vehicle for Transporting Clients
· Experience working with seniors required
· Fluency in English (both written and spoken) required for professional communication, report writing, and client interactions.
· Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector
· First Aid/CPR certificate
· Experience in home care is an asset
· Skills in meal preparation, cooking, and baking are an asset
Due to the nature of our business in taking care of the vulnerable population, we require our caregivers to be current with Covid -19 vaccinations.
