Job Description:
The Packager/General Laborer is responsible for packaging goods and materials to ensure they are securely prepared for shipment or storage. The role involves adhering to quality standards, maintaining accurate records, and working in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Pack products securely and efficiently.
- Mechanical skills (Use of tools, machine operation/setup, preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, bearings, belts and chains).
- Visually inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Inspect finished products using calipers and tape measurer.
- Inspect products for defects or damages before packaging and report any issues.
- Apply appropriate labels to packages and ensure accuracy in labeling, including shipping details, handling instructions, and product identification.
- Organize and prepare packaging materials such as boxes, tapes, bubble wrap, and other packaging supplies.
- Keep track of packaging materials and alert supervisors when spools stock is low.
- Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow guidelines and safety procedures on shift.
- Keep the packing area clean and organized.
- May be required to help with yard cleaning.
- Ensure that all packaged items meet quality and company standards before shipment.
- Maintain accurate records of packed items by filling out production reports.
- Work with warehouse and shipping teams to meet deadlines and fulfill orders efficiently.
- Other duties as required.
- Use of machinery such as tape dispensers, box cutters, and labeling tools.
- Packagers will be involved in moving materials, including lifting and stacking up to 70lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in packaging or warehouse work is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (may vary by job).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Standing for long periods.
- Lifting and carrying items up to a certain weight (typically 25–50 pounds).
- Repetitive motions involved in packaging.
- Use of machinery such as tape dispensers, box cutters, and labeling tools.

1 opening for Day Shift 7am-3pm
1 opening for Afternoon Shift: 3pm-11pm
