Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator in commercial & residential to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure competitive and realistic pricing. This role is vital in supporting the successful bidding process and project execution, requiring a strong understanding of construction estimating, project management, and negotiation skills.
Duties
- Prepare detailed construction cost estimates using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software tools.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and material requirements.
- Develop accurate pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate costs and clarify project details.
- Assist in bid preparation and submission processes to ensure timely delivery of proposals.
- Analyze market trends and supplier quotes to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
- Support project management teams with cost control measures during project execution.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and related documentation for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other relevant software.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with project management principles within the construction industry is preferred.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills to develop precise estimates that align with client expectations.
Pay: $41,910.13-$67,450.00 per year
