We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional front desk support, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth office operations. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.
- Checking in patients
- Keeping the clinic space clean and tidy
- Stocking the consulting rooms
- Assist/Chaperon physicians with patient exams & procedures and complete patient-related tasks at the request of the physicians
- Managing your doctors' schedule
- Taking Vision Acuity, Height and Weight
- Participate in other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned
- Assist with the completion of insurance forms and other necessary documentation.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Perform administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Updating and maintaining patients electronic medical records (EMR) with all test results, clinical notes, demographics, including validating health cards, etc.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience as a medical office assistant preferred
- Proficiency with Healthquest.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Office experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
