Responsibilities
- Support lead installers in measuring, cutting, and fitting windows and doors according to project specifications
- Handle hand tools such as hammers, drills, grinders, levels, and saws safely and effectively during installation tasks
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding or ladders, and organizing materials for smooth workflow
- Assist with blueprint reading and understanding schematics to ensure accurate placement and alignment of windows and doors
- Apply caulking around installed units to ensure proper sealing against weather elements
- Help with restoration tasks including surface prep, painting touch-ups, or minor carpentry repairs as needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment at all times
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in construction and installation projects
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with carpentry principles is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings for accurate installation guidance
- Basic knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing installations
- Experience with restoration work or construction painting adds value to the role
- Knowledge of plumbing or welding is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
