Job Title: Finance & Operations Manager
Who We Are:
At PakFactory, we’re transforming the custom packaging industry with innovation, passion, and cutting-edge digital solutions. We are committed to delivering excellence across every touchpoint—and we’re looking for a meticulous Finance & Operations Manager to serve as our financial and operational backbone. You will sit at the critical intersection of strategy and execution, ensuring our internal systems are as seamless as our customer experiences.
Job Opening:
We are seeking a high-ownership Finance & Operations Manager to bridge the gap between our visionary CEO and our external CPA firm. This isn't just a "numbers" role; you are the architect of our ERP integrity and the engine behind our management reporting.
Your mission is to turn PakFactory’s financial data into a high-performing strategic asset. You will lead the day-to-day financial execution, audit departmental workflows, and build the reporting infrastructure that drives our market dominance. You are a blend of a precise controller and a systems-thinker—someone who can navigate complex CRA compliance while recommending next-gen ERP improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations Ecosystem: Take full-cycle ownership of AP, AR, payroll, and month-end closes, ensuring our financial statements are audit-ready and CRA compliant (HST/GST, T4s).
- ERP & System Integrity: Act as the guardian of our data; you will audit ERP entries across all departments, train staff on workflows, and collaborate with IT to optimize data pipelines.
- Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Design and maintain monthly management dashboards (P&L, margins) and rolling forecasts that empower the CEO and department leads with real-time insights.
- Funding & Growth Support: Scale our reach by spearheading the financial groundwork for grant applications (IRAP, SR&ED, BDC) and maintaining impeccable data rooms for due diligence.
Qualifications:
- Required 3–7 years of experience in finance, operations, or full-cycle bookkeeping.
- Mastery of Financial Tech: Deep expertise in QuickBooks, Xero, or advanced ERP systems.
- Data Command: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with the ability to translate raw data into actionable dashboards.
- Compliance Expert: Strong understanding of Ontario CRA requirements and payroll standards.
- The "Optimizer" Mindset: Comfortable in fast-paced environments, with a talent for process documentation and holding teams accountable to system integrity.
Preferred
- CPA Designation (or currently in progress).
- B2B / Tech Experience: Background in eCommerce, branding, or manufacturing sectors.
- Toolbox: Experience with Looker, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
- Grant Knowledge: Previous experience supporting IRAP, SR&ED, or EDC funding applications.
- Strong English communication skills required. Cantonese/Mandarin is an asset.
