OVERVIEW
To Fast Fired, a Team Member is a person that works well with others, but can also complete tasks
independently. They have the ability to follow direction, can respect the brands rules, regulations, and
standards of operating, but can also appreciate little bits of fun. They move fast between tasks, but pay
attention to detail while completing them. They love a clean and organized space (or at least they act like
they do), and they have the endurance to make that happen. Most of all, they inspire guest loyalty, by
being polite and genuinely friendly no matter how busy the work environment is.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
● Prepares food neatly, accurately and in a timely manner.
● Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains it to guests accurately.
● Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with guests.
● Checks products in the food preparation area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply
throughout the shift.
● Cleans as directed.
● Greets guests (in person or virtually) and prepares their orders.
● Is accountable for cash and inventory during the shift. Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to
record their order, collect payment, and make change.
● Understands and adheres to all quality standards, recipes and procedures.
● Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitization standards while
preparing food, serving food and cleaning up.
● Completes jurisdiction appropriate Food Handling certification as needed.
● Maintains professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the Operations
Manual/Employee Handbook.
● Can use a cell phone or computer to operate scheduling applications.
● Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.
● Complete all other assigned duties or tasks.
Prerequisites
● Education: Some high school or equivalent. Province appropriate Food Handler’s by completion
of probationary period may be required.
● Experience: Ability to clearly understand and implement written and verbal instructions. Knife
skills are an asset, but not required.
● Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a
computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing and walking
the entire work day. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds
occasionally.
● Fast Fired staff - in the workplace, in public, or online - must ensure a favorable image of
themselves and Fast Fired.
