Wu & Company, a small and dynamic public practice firm located in Vancouver, is currently seeking a CPA or CPA student to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated professional with a minimum of 2 years of public practice experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality service.
About Us
Our client base consists primarily of privately owned businesses ranging from small to mid-sized companies. We specialize in Compilation Engagement Reports, with some Review Engagements, and offer a full suite of services including bookkeeping and tax preparation. We take pride in supporting new business immigrants and value candidates with experience in this area.
Role Overview
This position involves:
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for small, mid-sized, and high-net-worth clients.
- Collaborating with team members and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Managing deadlines and working overtime during tax season (February to May).
Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public practice.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with Sage 50, QuickBooks, CaseWare, and preparation of T1 and T2 returns.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.
