Position Summary
Position Title: Class 1 Owner Operator Truck Driver
Location (Start Point): Winnipeg, MB
Delivery Area: Winnipeg, Northern ON, Northern Manitoba or Saskatchewan
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift Schedule: Sunday to Thursday
Start Time: Varies

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across city/local routes and regional lanes
- Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Winnipeg, Northern ON, Northern Manitoba or Saskatchewan in a safe, timely, and professional manner
- Operate tractor-trailer, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
- Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
- Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required
Core Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver's license
- Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)
- Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year)
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
- Required Sleeper Truck: should not be older than 6 years
- Open to drive at night
- Open to use Manual/ Electric pallet jack, Loading/ Unloading and hand bombing
- Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
- Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation
- Ability to manually unload skids with a pallet jack and trays with a dolly required for some of the customers
- Physically able to lift to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach

- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
