PavCo has maternity leave coverage opportunity of up to 14 months for an experienced Project Manager to join our Infrastructure and Capital Projects Team. This role will oversee a variety of projects, from sustainability, accessibility and infrastructure upgrades to technology enhancements. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Capital Projects Delivery, the Project Manager is responsible for managing project scope, budget, schedule, and quality, while ensuring effective communication and risk management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide leadership and guidance to project coordinators and colleagues on project related matters.
- In conjunction with project sponsors and subject matter experts, develops scope of work, project plans, reviews fee proposals, co-ordinates activities of architects, consultants, contractors and liaises with stakeholders.
- In collaboration with the Procurement team, manage tendering processes and required documents for RFP’s, RFQ’s, ITQ, etc.
- Develop project plans, functional space requirements, cost estimating, and drawings for projects.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies with project teams to minimize impact to project budget, schedules, and scope.
- Review drawings with all sponsors and subject matter experts to ensure project goals are in line with corporate objectives and standards.
- Ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal building codes.
- Create a business case for each project that includes an operational scope, budget, ROI and supporting justification.
- Organize and chair various site meetings with stakeholders, clients, tenants, consultants, and contractors.
- Obtain quotes and arrange consultation proposals to assist in project estimates.
- Plan and manage daily operations and construction schedules while monitoring progress.
- Manage project budgets including, following up with invoices and payments.
- Approval of purchase orders, requisitions and change orders up to threshold.
- Track project changes and manage change control process.
- Collaborate with departments, contractors and colleagues to assist with schedule management.
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- 4-year degree in engineering, project management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of project management experience, especially with complex, time-sensitive projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and project management certifications (CAPM, PMP) is a plus.
- Certification in a skilled trade an asset.
- Sound working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project (or other project software) is an asset.
- CAPM, PMP Designation and BOMA or IFMA Certification are also assets.
- Experience in a range of project types to include construction, design, and technology.
- Sound working knowledge of a wide variety of standard software applications including Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Project) or project scheduling software.
- Strong practical knowledge, including an understanding of technical drawings, floor plans, manufacturing processes, and various materials.
- A team player who is self-motivated, able to meet deadlines, and able to handle many tasks simultaneously with speed, accuracy, and courtesy.
- Flexible attitude, ability to learn quickly and perform well under pressure.
- Experience managing budgets, construction, design, and technology projects.
- Strong knowledge of current tech and health and safety regulations (WorkSafeBC).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills.
The salary range for this position is $68,658-85,822
- Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
- 8% vacation pay will be added in lieu of vacation to bi-weekly cheque.
