Personal Support Worker
Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in need of support within their homes or care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care, fostering independence, and ensuring safety. This role is vital for assisting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, helping them maintain dignity and comfort in their daily routines.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Support clients with mobility exercises or physical therapy routines as prescribed
- Assist with transportation to appointments or errands when necessary
- Follow care plans meticulously and document services provided
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, senior care, or home care is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is advantageous
- Ability to administer medications safely and accurately
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are a plus
- Certification in caregiving or related training is beneficial but not mandatory
- Must pass background checks and adhere to health and safety regulations

Pay: $18.03-$22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
