GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Fabricate and build specialized tooling and equipment as required by production.

Maintain all production and fabrication tooling and equipment to a quality working order.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Maintain and encourage a safe work environment and good housekeeping.
-
Capable of building tools, dies jigs and fixtures to designed prints and/or instructions as required by the Production facilities.

To produce and construct prototype tooling and be able to develop required results from concepts.

Inspect, diagnose and repair all dies as required.

Troubleshoot problems and make required repairs in the presses to minimize production downtime.

Complete time tickets with accurate information (times, WO#'s, Plant #'s)

Constantly improve die functions.

Ability to operate all standard tool room machinery and equipment; Lathe, Grinders, Milling Machines etc.

Ability to read blueprints and use all standard measuring tools and equipment. Work to tolerances demanded by the blueprint.

Report all accidents, incidents and non-conformances to Tool Room Supervisor.

Work in compliance and conform to QMS, EMS and H&S standards, Policies, Objectives, Impact & Aspect and Hazard and Risks

Work as a Team Member in all situations.
All other duties assigned by Manager/Supervisor as required.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
-
Tool & Die Certificate.
Grade 12 Diploma.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
-
2 years die build experience.
-
Capable of reading and working from blueprints and standard drawings.

Progressive and Hand Transfer Dies a must. Transfer Dies an asset.
