Role Summary
Payless Cannabis is seeking applicants for the role of Retail Store Associate. Retail Store Associate should be compassionate, responsible and well educated in cannabis. We are looking for individuals who can engage positively with their community and deliver excellent customer service in a faced paced environment. We are looking for dedicated individuals who understand the nuances of cannabis and are eager to enter this burgeoning industry, we offer possibility for growth with a lot of our retail store associated becoming manager level employees within a year! The ideal candidate for this position would hold high expectations for themselves as for their fellow employees. The successful candidate will be willing to take on responsibilities and help wherever needed to ensure the success of their location.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient service to customers, guiding them through product selection, explaining product benefits, and answering questions about cannabis products.
- Oversee the Budtender team, ensuring they are providing high-quality service, maintaining accurate product knowledge, and adhering to dispensary policies and compliance regulations.
- Assist in training and mentoring new Budtenders, ensuring they understand dispensary procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Help monitor product inventory, assist with restocking shelves, and track product levels to ensure dispensary is adequately stocked.
- Ensure that all sales and transactions comply with state and local laws, including verifying customer age and maintaining proper documentation. Enforce dispensary security and safety protocols.
- Accurately process transactions, handle cash and credit card payments, and ensure all financial records are up to date.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner, striving to maintain a positive shopping experience.
- Assist the regional manager with daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance.
- Work closely with the management team to create a positive and supportive work environment, fostering teamwork and motivation among staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or relevant certifications preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in a dispensary or similar retail environment, with 1+ years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- A valid License for delivery as well as valid car insurance and a reliable vehicle
- Knowledge of local cannabis regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
