ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a compassionate, relationship-focused, and collaborative leader to join AEI as a Regional Manager within its International Student Program.
The Regional Manager serves as AEI’s primary representative within their region, providing leadership for program delivery, student wellbeing, homestay services, and stakeholder relationships. As the designed custodial lead, the Regional Manager is responsible for supporting student safety and wellbeing, responding to complex situations, and ensuring recruited international students have a positive and successful experience.
Reporting to the Director, the Regional Manager supervises the regional Homestay Administrator and provides leadership oversight for contracted Homestay Coordinators.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Knowledge Required for the Position include:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field. A graduate degree, professional designation, or relevant certification is considered an asset.

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in education, youth services, student support, community engagement, program management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Experience working with students, schools, families, community organizations, or service-delivery environments is considered a strong asset.

Experience leading teams, managing complex situations, and building collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide leadership and oversight for the delivery of AEI’s International Student Program within assigned region.

Serve as primary regional representative with schools, students, host families, agents, school districts, and community partners.

Monitor and support student wellbeing, including responding to student concerns, critical incidents, and complex situations.

Fulfill designated custodial responsibilities and ensure appropriate supports are in place to promote positive student outcomes.

Lead the resolution of complex student, homestay, and operational issues.

Provide oversight of the regional homestay program, ensuring compliance with programs standards and expectations.

Supervise the Homestay Administrator and provide accountability for contracted Homestay Coordinators within assigned region.

Support the implementation of organizational policies, procedures, service standards, and operational initiatives.

Coordinate regional readiness for student arrivals, departures, placements, orientations, and other program activities.

Hours of work: Due to the nature of the role and responsibilities for student wellbeing and incident response, flexible work hours are a requirement of the position. Work outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required to support student and operational needs.

Travel: frequent travel throughout the region is required

Special conditions: valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
AEI offers a competitive salary ranging from $79,326 - $104,494, annually, and offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental benefits and RRSP matching.
