Summary:
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes and standards, ensuring food quality, safety, and timely service in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning food items.
- Follow recipes and cooking instructions to ensure consistent quality and flavor.
- Cook food using various methods (e.g., grilling, frying, sautéing, baking).
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Ensure proper food storage and handling to prevent spoilage and maintain food safety.
- Kitchen Operations:
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, including washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and stocking supplies.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Adhere to all relevant food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Follows all systems and checklists provided for their department
- Quality and Service:
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and standards.
- Present dishes attractively and accurately.
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
Pay: $16.75-$18.00 per hour
