Role Overview
We are currently hiring a Metal Polisher on behalf of one of our manufacturing clients in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in metal finishing, polishing, buffing, and surface preparation who take pride in producing high-quality finished products. Roles & Responsibilities
- Polish, buff, grind, and finish metal components to meet quality standards.
- Operate polishing, buffing, sanding, and grinding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Remove scratches, burrs, weld marks, and surface imperfections.
- Prepare metal surfaces for coating, painting, or final assembly.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications.
- Read and follow work orders, drawings, and production instructions.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of polishing equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Metal Polisher, Metal Finisher, or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Experience polishing stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, or other metals.
- Ability to operate polishing, grinding, sanding, and buffing tools.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production drawings.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Steel-toe safety boots required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of surface finishing techniques and quality standards.
- Experience using angle grinders, orbital sanders, bench grinders, and polishing machines.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is considered an asset.
