Bless The Maker is an exciting new artisan marketplace opening August 1st in Southgate Centre. We will be showcasing the work of over 80 local makers in a beautiful, professionally managed retail space, creating a unique shopping experience that celebrates creativity, community, and locally made products. We even have live in-store maker demonstrations every Saturday.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Keyholder / Shift Lead who enjoys working with people and wants to be part of building something from the ground up.
What You'll Do
As a Keyholder, you'll help lead the store when management isn't on-site. You'll be trusted to keep the store running smoothly while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Opening or closing the store
- Supervising and supporting part-time team members
- Delivering friendly, engaging customer service
- Assisting customers and driving sales
- Opening tills and preparing floats
- Closing tills and completing end-of-day cash procedures
- Restocking merchandise during the week
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, welcoming store
- Assisting with general day-to-day operations
- Occasionally recording “Meet The Maker” demonstrations on a company provided phone/gimbal setup
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly and approachable
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable taking initiative and leading a shift
- Passionate about customer service
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Retail leadership or keyholder experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person with strong customer service skills and a great attitude.
Schedule
Approximately 32 hours per week (31 regular and 1 Overtime)
One of our favorite perks:
- Every other weekend off (rare in retail!)
To make that possible, the Saturday you do work is a 9-hour shift. The final hour is paid at overtime rates, and you'll receive an additional paid break.
