We are looking for an experienced Water Truck Operator to operate 5,000–7,000L single-axle water trucks for municipal and commercial contracts within the City of Edmonton.
This position requires early morning starts and independent route work
Responsibilities
- Experience operating water truck safely within city limits
- Perform municipal tree watering routes
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain daily logs and timesheets
- Monitor tank levels and refill as required
- Ensure safe maneuvering in residential and tight areas
- Represent the company professionally on job sites
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 License (Air Brakes – Q endorsement required) not required but recommended
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (must provide copy)
- Experience operating water trucks preferred
- Experience driving manual transmission
- Ability to work independently
- Physically fit (handling hoses, hydrants, valves)
- Strong awareness of safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Municipal watering experience
- Knowledge of Edmonton road network
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Construction site experience
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Early morning starts (6:00AM-3:00PM)
- 40–50 hours per week
- Overtime available depending on contract volume
