Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Location: Twin Equipment – Toronto Branch
Reports To: Technical Operations Manager
Role Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the accurate, organized, and consistent handling of all incoming and outgoing materials at the Toronto branch. This role is well suited to someone who values structure, accuracy, and established processes, and who takes pride in completing work correctly and thoroughly.
This position follows defined procedures and priorities, with guidance provided for non-routine situations. Once trained and familiar with the role, the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will work independently and be trusted to manage their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving
- Receive incoming shipments and verify items against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy, damage, or discrepancies
- Clearly document and report shortages or issues using established procedures
- Label, organize, and store materials in designated locations
- Maintain accurate records of received inventory
Shipping
- Prepare outgoing shipments according to sales orders and work orders
- Ensure correct part numbers, quantities, and documentation prior to shipment
- Package and secure materials to prevent damage during transport
- Generate and verify shipping paperwork, labels, and bills of lading
- Coordinate shipments with approved carriers and couriers
Inventory Control & Organization
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and clearly organized warehouse environment
- Follow inventory control procedures and storage standards
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as required
- Ensure inventory is handled and stored according to company guidelines
- Support parts, service, and sales teams with material requests in a timely and accurate manner
Safety & Compliance
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and responsibly
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Report safety concerns using established reporting channels
Working Style & Expectations

Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving, warehouse, or inventory control
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written procedures and check work thoroughly
- Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
- Reliable, punctual, and conscientious
Preferred
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in equipment, industrial, or parts-based environments
- Familiarity with inventory control systems
