Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Car Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive repair, and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues. This role involves working with a range of tools and equipment to ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, providing excellent customer service and technical expertise.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify issues and execute repairs
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or custom modifications
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed and completed work
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe for all team members
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a solid understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Experience with automotive assembly and maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing vehicle issues
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate repair needs and solutions to clients
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to automotive repair environments
- Prior mechanic experience is preferred; certification or training in automotive technology is a plus
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
