Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced LIVESTOCK HAULING Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting livestock (Cattle primarly, hogs partime or fulltime optional) and flat deck goods to various destinations while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and animal wellbeing, ensuring smooth operations across Western Canada and USA. Candidates with livestock handling skills, stong driving experience in adverse conditions and light mechanical awareness, some equipment handling, are highly valued to support efficient loading, unloading, and vehicle upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport across various routes and delivery points
- Load and unload livestock and deck loads using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation duties
- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Operate heavy equipment responsibly during loading/unloading processes to prevent damage or injury
Qualifications
- Valid commercial CLASS 1 driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, livestock transportation, or related fields preferred
- Familiarity with handling livestock and heavy equipment handling is a plus
- Basic truck and trailer repair knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and safety procedures
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to freight handling
- Commitment to safety standards and compliance with transportation regulations

Pay: $60,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
