Our client is a growing outsourced accounting and advisory firm based in North Vancouver. The firm provides hands-on accounting, Controller, and CFO-level support to a range of clients across Canada.
They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their client accounting team and take primary responsibility for the day-to-day finance function of a key technology client.
This is a broad, full-cycle role covering financial reporting, AR/AP, budgeting and forecasting, payroll, tax compliance, audit support, and process improvement. The successful candidate will act as a key finance contact for the client while working closely with internal Managers and Partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Prepare customer invoices and monitor AR/AP aging
- Follow up on collections, payments, and outstanding documentation
- Maintain customer agreements and reconcile them against purchase orders
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting
- Complete account reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support annual budgeting and department-level budget preparation
- Prepare monthly cash-flow forecasts and quarterly forecasts
- Process payroll and oversee employee expense reimbursements
- Manage GST/QST and other Canadian tax compliance requirements
- Liaise with CRA, Revenu Québec, and other regulatory bodies
- Maintain audit documentation and support internal and external audit requests
- Manage corporate credit card administration and reconciliation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Support the implementation of Power BI, AP automation tools, and AI-enabled finance workflows
Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong full-cycle accounting experience, including AR/AP ownership
- Experience with month-end and quarter-end close
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll and GST/HST or QST compliance
- Strong account reconciliation and financial reporting skills
- Comfortable acting as a day-to-day contact for clients and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- CPA designation, progress toward CPA, or an international accounting designation is considered an asset
- Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, Rillion, or similar finance systems is considered an asset
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary of $80,000–$100,000, depending on experience
