Seeking experienced Permanent RECE for our School Age Program (likely grade 1/2 split)- Starting September 2026. 6 hour before and aftercare split shift . $29.50/hour (includes PWE)$27.50 base before grant.
September- June (FT summer hours seniority based).
Full time - week of August 31- Sept 4 2026 for orientation, training and classroom set up.*flexible
Must be a Member in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE.
*1.5 hours off site prep time daily (work from home)
Supply work as available in our full day Preschool program
TDSB Lunch Monitoring opportunities available through the school.
On stie- 7:15a.m.- 8:45a.m. & 3:00p.m.- 6:00 p.m. (4.5 hours) OR Afternoons only 2-6
Work from home- 1.5 hours daily prep *6 hours total. *1 hour for afternoon shift only
Full time hours on all PA days. March and Winter Break full time hours based on camp enrollment. Full time summer hours Seniority based.
- Complete all programming and assigned children’s documentation portfolios based on Quality Insurance standards.
- Keeping the room up to clean standards set by the Toronto Public Health
- Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork is complete. i.e. monthly and daily attendance, sanitation logs, playground safety checks etc.
- Be familiar with Toronto’s Quality Insurance (AQI) & the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA).
- Cooperate and contribute as a team member and willing to work within a team.
- Comfortable with talking with parents and other people in a professional manner.
- Familiarize, acknowledge and follow all centre policies, as may be amended from time to time.
- Foster physical fitness & outdoor activities during all weather conditions.
- Willing to help in other areas of the Program.
- Maintain at all times child-teacher ratios.
- Have positive relationships with TDSB staff & other people of the community.
- Follow open & closing procedures.
- Keep all information confidential.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Be registered and in good standing with the College of ECE
- Recognized valid First aid and CPR certificate.
- Must have working knowledge of AQI & CCEYA.
- Must have experience working with Neurodivergence and Dysregulation
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to both children & adults & to liaise effectively with the community & other agencies.
- Must be flexible & willing to cooperate with the Supervisor, the parent board, & other staff.
- Working knowledge/ Programming experience with Emergent Curriculum
