Cougle + Company is a growing Calgary real estate and business law firm located in the modern Casel Building on 17 Avenue SW.
Our practice continues to grow, and we are looking for an exceptional junior lawyer to join our team.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated lawyer with 0–3 years of experience (or an exceptional articling student nearing call) who has a strong interest in real estate, commercial, and business law.
From day one, you'll work directly with clients, lenders, REALTORS®, business owners, and experienced lawyers on a broad range of transactions. You'll receive hands-on mentorship while developing the skills required to manage your own practice and client relationships.
As our firm continues to grow, there will be significant opportunities for increased responsibility, business development, leadership, and long-term advancement.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on residential and commercial real estate transactions
- Assist with financing, private lending, and secured lending matters
- Draft and review purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and related legal documents
- Conduct legal research and due diligence
- Attend client meetings, signings, and closings
- Assist with incorporations, reorganizations, commercial transactions, and business acquisitions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners
- Contribute to the continued growth of the firm
Qualifications
- 0–3 years' call to the Alberta Bar (or articling student eligible for call)
- NCA candidates eligible for Alberta licensing are welcome to apply
- Strong interest in real estate, commercial, and business law
- Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in building a long-term practice
