Process Engineer in the
Chemical industry in
Edmonton, Alberta.
The Process Engineer is responsible for delivering engineering and project management support for primarily mechanical and chemical engineering projects that ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Edmonton Chemical Plant.

Responsibilities:-
Lead and promote a strong safety culture through active participation in EHS programs, compliance initiatives, and safe work practices
- Manage capital and maintenance projects from concept to completion, including scope development, planning, budgeting, procurement, execution, commissioning, and Management of Change (MOC) processes

Provide mechanical/process engineering support for equipment upgrades, replacements, modifications, plant turnarounds, outages, and day-to-day operations
- Prepare project cost estimates, technical specifications, engineering documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry codes (ABSA, CSA, ASME, B31 standards)

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to successfully deliver projects while managing schedules, costs, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain accurate engineering documentation, and contribute to process reliability, operational efficiency, and plant performance enhancements

Participate in contractor management, outage support, and cross-functional projects, while continuously developing technical expertise in process equipment, piping systems, and related mechanical assets
Successful candidates will have:-
BSc in Chemical or Mechanical engineering from a recognized University, APEGA registered P.Eng

5+ years’ experience in a plant environment, preferably in the chemical processing or manufacturing industry. Certifications in Project Management are an asset in this position

Proficiency in AutoCAD-2D is required
- Experienced in mechanical design projects associated with utility systems, material handling, structural, and process piping
