POSITION: Stationary Building Maintenance Engineer 4th Class - Day shift
Reporting to the Manager of Fleet, Facility & Administration, the 4th Class Stationary Building Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling the following duties:
- Inspects/maintains boiler system, heating and air conditioning systems, maintains major garage equipment such as hoists, fuel dispensers, brush wash washes, roof top HVAC, and undertakes minor repairs as required
- Daily inspection and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment
- General building maintenance including repairs to doors, walls, ceilings, furniture, washrooms, etc.
- Basic preventative maintenance to specified plant equipment
- Coordinates with outside contractors on projects as required
- Completing all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid 4th Class Stationary Engineer Certificate
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing
- Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on building maintenance experience, specifically involving natural-gas systems. Additional hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic repairs is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Electrical Experience
