Seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Office Assistant to join our surgical practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.Schedule appointments.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Process referrals, consultations, and medical correspondence.Coordinate with physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers.
- Manage incoming faxes, emails, and office correspondence.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy legislation.Perform general administrative and clerical duties as required.Competitive compensation based on experience.
Qualifications
- Medical Office Assistant certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office is an asset.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and excellent time management
