Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal mechanic or a dedicated 3rd or 4th year apprentice to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on various vehicles and heavy equipment using established mechanical procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components accurately.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic codes to identify issues precisely.
- Assist with welding tasks and fabrication as needed to repair or modify parts and structures.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities, including heavy lifting and working in confined spaces.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a dealership environment or similar automotive service setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques and fabrication processes.
- Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including engine work, transmission repairs, and electrical diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
