We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sheet Metal Supervisor/Journeyperson to lead and oversee sheet metal installation on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive technical knowledge, and a solid background in construction management and safety protocols. This role involves supervising teams, ensuring project quality, and maintaining adherence to schedules and budgets. Candidates with proficiency in construction management software and a thorough understanding of blueprints, schematics, and industry standards are highly preferred.
Duties
- Lead and supervise sheet metal installation teams on various construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
- Manage project schedules using construction management software to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor safety compliance per OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols among team members.
- Assist with budgeting, project estimating, and contract management as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to project progress, safety reports, and quality assurance.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson in sheet metal work with a strong background in construction.
- Supervisory or management experience overseeing teams in a construction setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction management software.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, project scheduling, and contract administration.
