Overview
We are seeking a qualified Sprinkler Technician to join our team in Saskatchewan. Relocation assistance may be available for the successful candidate. This role involves installing, testing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems and equipment. The position requires travel between work sites and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
The successful candidate must be knowledgeable and competent in:
- NFPA 10
- NFPA 25
- Provincial and Federal Fire Codes
All work must be performed safely and in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations and company safety procedures.
Reporting To
- Branch Manager
- Corporate Sprinkler Manager
Scope of Work
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fire protection systems, including:
- Operation
- Cleaning
- Maintenance
- Repairs
- Install, service, and repair fire sprinkler systems
- Generate clear and accurate inspection and service reports using handheld devices
- Travel between job sites (company vehicle provided)
- Complete and submit:
- Daily Hazard Assessments
- Weekly Vehicle Inspections
- Attend all required safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Complete all assigned internal training programs
- Read, understand, and actively participate in the Safety Process Manual
- Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations, industry standards, and company policies
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations and company safety procedures
- Refuse unsafe work where there is imminent danger
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Identify and report workplace hazards
- Correct unsafe conditions when possible
- Report all injuries, incidents, and accidents promptly
- Contribute suggestions and recommendations for accident prevention and workplace safety improvements
Requirements
- Red Seal Sprinkler Fitter Certification (required)
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and applicable codes, including NFPA 10 and NFPA 25
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to relocate to Saskatchewan (if not currently residing in the province)
- Ability to travel between customer sites as required
