Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Human Resources Manager for a growing organization in Guelph.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
- Serve as the primary HR advisor for managers and employees on employee relations matters.
- Coach leaders on performance management, conflict resolution, employee engagement, and HR best practices.
- Lead workplace investigations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
- Support employee retention initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders while providing practical HR solutions aligned with business objectives.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, WSIB, and other relevant legislation.
- Interpret and apply company policies consistently while advising leaders on HR best practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation using the organization's HRIS.
- Partner with Payroll on employee changes, benefits administration, leaves of absence, and Records of Employment (ROEs).
- Support accommodations, terminations, layoffs, and leave management while ensuring compliance and appropriate documentation.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Partner with hiring managers to recruit office and operational employees.
- Coordinate recruitment activities including interviewing, candidate selection, offers, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Contribute to workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning initiatives.
- Deliver a positive candidate and employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.
Performance & Organizational Development
- Coordinate performance review processes and continuous feedback initiatives.
- Identify learning and development opportunities in partnership with business leaders.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee growth.
- Support leaders in developing high-performing teams through coaching and HR guidance.
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead or support HR projects including policy updates, engagement initiatives, and process improvements.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to support informed business decisions.
- Recommend and implement improvements that enhance HR operations and the employee experience.
BRCGS & Food Safety Support
- Support HR requirements related to BRCGS standards within a food-grade manufacturing environment.
- Maintain employee training records and onboarding documentation required for audits.
- Partner with Operations and Quality teams to reinforce food safety culture initiatives.
- Assist with internal and external audit preparation, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP or CHRL designation (or actively working toward designation) is preferred.
- 5-8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or management capacity.
- Demonstrated experience advising leaders and managing complex employee relations matters.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation.
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees.
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or distribution environments is considered an asset.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Exposure to BRCGS or food safety standards is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site position located in Guelph.
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
- Occasional travel between company locations may be required.
- Regular interaction with office and operational employees.
- Standard office environment with occasional visits to operational areas as required.
- Standard business casual attire; any required PPE will be provided when entering operational areas.
