Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards and safety protocols are maintained. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical knowledge, precision, and safety are paramount. The position is full-time and involves working with a variety of tools and equipment to support our production processes.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using spray guns, or power tool.
- Use hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and finishing task.
- Follow safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals.
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing paints or coatings accurately
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by maintaining organized workspaces and minimizing waste
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finishes meet specifications and standards.
Requirements
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and assembly processes
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to painting tasks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Prior experience in painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
