Novitech LLC is an industry leading In-Line Inspection (ILI) service and technology development company. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team in our Calgary, Alberta location.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance function by supporting accurate, timely, and efficient accounts payable operations. The Accounts Payable Administrator will play an important role in processing vendor payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting effective workflows and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, approval, entry, and payment processing
- Perform three-way matching by verifying purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices before processing payments
- Serve as a key point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment inquiries, investigate discrepancies, and maintain strong business relationships
- Review and validate accounts payable documentation against purchase orders, invoices, and supporting records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper transaction accounting
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare regular reports related to accounts payable reconciliations and payment activity to support decision-making and reporting accuracy
- Assist with other finance and accounts payable duties as assigned to support evolving business priorities
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounts payable or accounting role
- Experience with three-way matching and purchase order environments
- Experience with ERP systems (experience with Deltek is considered an asset)
- Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
