We are seeking a motivated and energetic Catering Cook to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious meals in a fast-paced catering environment. Your expertise in food handling, meal preparation, and food safety will ensure that every dish meets high standards of quality and taste. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to memorable dining experiences while working in a collaborative and lively setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met.
- Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist in meal assembly and portioning for catering events, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow all health regulations related to food handling, preparation, and kitchen safety practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Minimum 5 years experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food industry or restaurant settings.
- Valid Food Safe Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, meal preparation techniques, and food industry best practices.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Prior experience in catering or large-scale food service is preferred but not required.
