Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Long-Term Care Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our Long-Term Care Home within our Hospital. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of senior care, and a commitment to providing exceptional quality of life for residents. This role involves managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe, compassionate environment for residents and staff alike.
Duties
- Lead and supervise all aspects of facility operations, including staff management, resident care, and administrative functions
- Ensure compliance with long-term care home standards, Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021
- Oversee resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote high-quality resident care and safety
- Foster a positive environment that emphasizes compassionate senior care, including dementia care
- Manage resident admissions, discharge processes, and family communications with professionalism and sensitivity
- Monitor quality assurance metrics and implement improvements as needed to enhance resident satisfaction
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a baccalaureate degree in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Must successfully complete the Administrator Leadership Program through AdvantAge Ontario. Financial assistance for course and related fees provided with a Return of Service Agreement.
- Formal management training and previous management experience an asset.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-directed.
- Ability to build key relationships with patients, residents, public, physicians, colleagues, and other stakeholders to enable continuous improvement of programs.
- Must be able to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
- The successful applicant would be expected to share on-call responsibilities on a rotation.
Pay: $85,078.50-$102,219.00 per year
