The HVAC Assistant support HVAC Mechanics with labouring tasks and provides basic assistance.
- Assists certified HVAC mechanics with installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Prepares and organizes tools, materials, and equipment required for HVAC work.
- Performs basic support tasks under the supervision of a licensed HVAC mechanic.
- Follows safety procedures and ensures work sites are clean and organized.
- May perform minor tasks such as lifting, moving components, or preliminary assembly of HVAC systems, under direct supervision.
- Participates in on-the-job training to develop trade skills and progress toward certification.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of HVAC installation, repair and plumbing HVAC systems.
