The Faculty of Education at the University of Victoria is hiring a Program Coordinator for Teacher Education. Reporting to the Manager of Teacher Education, Program Coordinators work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team that supports the effective delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of UVic’s teacher education programs.
In this role, you will work closely with both the Director and Manager of Teacher Education, along with the Department Chair, Administrative Officer, Education Advising, faculty members, instructors, and students to implement and monitor all aspects of program and practicum delivery. Program Coordinators also build and sustain strong relationships with school districts, school administrators, mentor teachers, field advisors, regulatory bodies, and community partners to ensure high-quality practicum experiences that meet provincial certification requirements.
Program Coordinators play a central role in student success throughout the program, from admissions tracking and program planning to practicum placement, monitoring and support. The position requires a commitment to student support, complex organizational and documentation responsibilities, and proactive communication with internal and external partners. Program Coordinators also contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives, aligning Teacher Education priorities with broader departmental, faculty, university, and provincial goals.

The salary range for this position is:
- Recruitment range: $65,860- $72,607. Starting salary is determined in accordance with the PEA Collective Agreement.
- Performance range: Up to $85,633. Progression beyond the recruitment range is available through annual performance increases, in accordance with the PEA Collective Agreement.
